We have nearly 500 kilometers of river & canal systems almost three times the size of Venice in Italy & many thousands of waterfront homes. Many of these homes are spetacular & have price tags to match.
We also have hundreds of kilomoters of of protected smooth water, marked chanels to explore. If we were to travel 45 minutes north of Sea world at around twenty knots, we would find ourselves in a wilderness area. These chanels miander through hundreds of mangrove islands most of which flood at high tide. The area is alive with birds & all maner of sea creatures.
The boat is equipped with a marine BBQ, a full galley, good refridgeration, & a large ice box. BYO food & drinks for an unforgetable day, or we can stop at Calypso Bay Marina Tavern to enjoy lunch from their menu or drinks at the bar.
A night trip up the Nerang River is also a worthy way to spend a Gold Coast night. The river seems to have a special ambiance at night that needs to be experienced at least once. A sunset cruise on the Broadwater sipping wine cruising slowly taking in the wonder of this very special place will be remembered for life.
